Tile from the bottom corner of the curved wall.
Tiling curved surfaces.
Step 1 install sheet tile as normal to curve it around a wall.
You would assume that you need to cut it on a curve because the drywall is curved but the individual tiles are so small that you can cut it straight at an angle and fill the rest with grout.
A common example of curved wall tiles is the faces of jacuzzi surrounds or specially designed bathrooms.
Also there are a lot of tools that could assist in fitt.
To get a smoothly curved surface good framing is important too preferably with the studs placed no more than 6 inches on center.
Look at this picture below some of the grout areas are close and some aren t.
While the normal way of curving wall tile in this instance is to use 1 inch tiles on a sheet you can also modify larger tiles to work in the same fashion.
Start in the corner section.
There are various options on how to fit tile especially a larger porcelain tile around curved walls.
Find the centre of the circle or curve position the tile so that the maximum surface area is against the edge of the circle or curve.
Make sure the surface is free from dust clean dry and suitable for tiling.
Inspect the ceramic mosaic sheets to make sure there aren t any broken or damaged tiles and ensure that you have.
Draw a line on the tile where the ruler runs this is your cutting.
