Grouting is the final step of installing ceramic wall tile after the tile adhesive has fully cured. If adhesive oozes up between tiles when you press the tile into place you are using too much adhesive. Pour a quart to half gallon of grout on the tiles. Doing a proper grout job will ensure that the floor under the tile stays safe from moisture.

Grouting is not difficult to do well but it is even easier to do poorly. Spread the material in sweeping arcs pressing it into the joints to fill them completely. The color of grout you choose can play into your design in different ways. Use the center tile as a reference point and install the remaining tiles along straight lines.
