The unicorns were a canadian rock band from montreal quebec canada formed in 2000 by nicholas thorburn nick diamonds and alden penner alden ginger who were later joined by jamie thompson j aime tambeur in december 2003. The 7 version was pressed on purple vinyl and limited to 2 000 copies. The album was first issued on cd and on vinyl in north america by alien8 recordings on october 21 2003 and on cd in europe by rough trade records in 2004. It has since been repressed in limited quantities on pink and brown vinyl by alien8 and was re released on august 26 2014 on the band s own label caterpillar records.

I m not sure if it s just the unicorns love of messing with their audience or a mistake but the labels on the vinyl are on the opposite sides that they should be and the black vinyl doesn t show up it looks like a black bit of vinyl pressed between two pink layers.
